Being hunters ourselves, we appreciate the investment you make in a guided hunt. At Renegade Ranch you are assured of a rewarding experience in claiming the game of your choice.
GENERAL INFORMATON:
- Typically, hunts last one to three days depending on the hunters' condition, shooting ability and weather conditions.
- Sunday hunting is permitted.
- Wounded game is your responsibility.
- Bring your camera and film.
- Bring a sleeping bag. Dress for the season and be sure to bring rain gear.
- Taxidermy is available from Tom Zellar of Great Lakes Taxidermy (231)333-3337
- Specialized meat-handling is available
- Year-round hunting is available.
- Hunting is by reservation only.
THE WEAPON: You may hunt with the weapon of your choice.
- Handguns: 357, 41 or 44 magnum.
- Rifles: Minimum 243 caliber suggested.
- Shotguns: Rifle slugs in 20, 16 or 12 ga.
- Muzzle Loaders: 45 caliber minimum required.
- Bow Hunting: Bows should be of adequate poundage.
PRESERVE YOUR GAME
Our skilled guides field dress, bring the animal back to camp, pack the animal in and prepare it for transport with you or to the taxidermist. Be sure to check our competitive prices for excellent taxidermy. If cutting or wrapping is required, a local butcher will require 48 hours to process your kill. If you prefer, make arrangements beforehand with a meat processor in your area to handle your kill when you return home.
